Terms of Service — Crisis Helplines
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Talk Suicide Canada: 9-8-8 (call or text, 24/7).
By accessing the EmergencyHousing.ca Crisis Helplines tool ("the tool"), you agree to these terms. They supplement the main EmergencyHousing.ca Terms of Service, which also apply.
1. What this tool is
This tool is a directory of crisis helplines and emergency resources around the world. It is not itself a helpline: we do not answer calls or provide counselling through this tool. When you call a number listed here, you reach the organization named — not EmergencyHousing.ca.
2. Not professional advice
Everything in this tool is provided for information and navigation only. It is not medical, legal, or mental-health advice, and it is not a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number (9-1-1 in North America).
3. Accuracy of listings
Contact details are compiled from public sources and can change without notice. We work to keep the directory current, but we cannot guarantee that every number is active or in service. If a number doesn't work, try another helpline or your local emergency number — and let us know so we can fix the listing.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the tool to harm others, break the law, attempt to disrupt the service, or harvest the directory data through large-scale automated scraping. The listings exist to help people in crisis — not to feed marketing or commercial databases.
5. Privacy
This tool creates no accounts and tracks no visitors. Your "My List" is stored only on your own device. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Limitation of liability
The tool is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, EmergencyHousing.ca is not liable for decisions made in reliance on the information shown, or for the acts or omissions of the organizations listed. You remain responsible for judging which resource fits your situation.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the tool after a change constitutes acceptance of the current version.
